ਥਿਤੀ ਇਕ ਵਕ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਖੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝਣ ਦਾ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਹੈ | ਜੰਤਰੀ ਜੋ ਆਮ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਕਸਰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਤਿਉਹਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਰੀਕਾਂ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਕਰ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਜਾਂ ਅਸ਼ੁਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੀ।
Date is a framework to understand the concept of time in an easy manner. Lunar calendar is often used to determine the dates of religious and cultural festivals. Gurbani doesn’t acknowledge any day to be auspicious or otherwise based upon it’s lunar cycle.

ਹਰ ਤਾਰੀਖ ਥਿਤੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ (ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਣਜਾਣ) ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ (ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਮਤਿ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਿਤ) ਹੋਣ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Every date in Thitee baani signifies the spiritual journey of an individual from being manmukh (totally ignorant of Gurbani’s wisdom) to Gurmukh (fully awakened by implementing Gurbani’s wisdom) in life.

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਚੋਂ ਹਵਾਲੇ
ਥਿਤੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਿਰਲੇਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ :
– ਥਿਤੀ ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ (੨੯੬)
– ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਥਿਤੀ ਘਰੁ ੧੦ ਜਤਿ (੮੩੮)

ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ
ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਥਿਤੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪੜਾਵਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਨੂ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸਮਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਸੋਖਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਦੇ 15 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੱਕਰ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਰਾਹੀ, ਅਮਾਵਸ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਤੱਕ, ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਜਾਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਲਟਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਚੱਕਰ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ।
Thitee is a way used by a Gurbani to learn from lunar calendar and reflect on my personal spiritual journey through various phases of moon in the lunar calendar. Gurbani has used 15 day cycle of moon - from new moon to full moon, which signifies the journey from being spiritually ignorant to fully awakened. Once awakened, then spiritually journey can not be reversed hence Gurbani doesn't refer to reverse cycle of moon.
