ਨਰਪਤਿ, ਭੂਪਤਿ, ਰਾਜਨ, ਬਾਦਿਸਾਹ, ਸੁਲਤਾਨੁ
Greedy
The one who rules (ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) a specific piece of land (ਜਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਟੁਕੜਾ)
Some countries (ਕੁਝ ਦੇਸ਼) have democratic (ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ) way to elect (ਚੌਣ) the leader and some have monarchy (ਤਾਨਾਸ਼ਾਹੀ )
Generally kings (ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਤਰ ਰਾਜੇ) are unable to manage (ਕਾਬੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਪਾਂਦੇ) their greed and ego (ਲਾਲਚ ਅਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ) . This drives (ਪ੍ਰੇਰਦਾ ) them to make wrong decisions (ਗ਼ਲਤ ਫੈਸਲੇ)
They are known as King (ਰਾਜਾ), Prime Minister (ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ), President (ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ), Dictator (ਤਾਨਾਸ਼ਾਹ) nowadays (ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ)
Leader of the nation (ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ) needs to understand (ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ) the law of the country (ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਕ਼ਾਨੂਨ) and needs of the people (ਜਨਤਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋੜ੍ਹਾਂ)
Purpose (ਮਕਸਦ) of the king (ਰਾਜਾ) is to serve the community (ਜਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ) and make sure justice (ਨਿਆਂ) can be delivered to it’s citizens (ਜਨਤਾ )
ਦਰਬੁ ਸੰਚਿ ਸੰਚਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਮੂਏ ਗਡਿ ਲੇ ਕੰਚਨ ਭਾਰੀ ॥ (ਰਾਗੁ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਕੀ – ੬੫੪)
Driven by greed, kings waste all the time collecting the materialistic possessions like gold. In the end they die, wasting all the precious time in greed as opposed to making best of their position and improving the life of their citizens.
ਇੱਕ ਆਮ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਲਾਲਚੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਉਣ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ
Living a contended life as a common person is much better than living a greedy life as a king
