ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਾ
One who reads and understands (ਪੜਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ) the knowledge of religious scriptures (ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ) with the objective (ਉਦੇਸ਼ ) of self realization (ਆਤਮ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ )
Focus (ਧਿਆਨ) is on improving own lifestyle (ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ) as opposed to preaching or showing off the religious knowledge to others (ਬਜਾਏ ਇਸਦੇ ਕਿ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਿਰਫ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਯਾ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਨੇ)

The real pandit is the one who gives wisdom to mind. Real pandit searches for virtues of Raam (Jot) within own self.

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਣ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਮ (ਜੋਤਿ) ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ
We should read Gurbani and do path with the objective to adopt the virtues of Raam (Jot).
