ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਾਇਓ ਨਹੀ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਕਾਰਥ ਕੀਨੁ ॥ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਲ ਕਉ ਮੀਨੁ ॥੧॥ (੧੪੨੬ )
I am wasting the life by not living it as per the guidance of Gurbani. O Nanak, my mind should stay connected to Good Voice just like fish stays connected to water.
Relevance in my life
ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦੀ (ਉਸਦੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ) , ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਭ ਗੁਣ (ਸਬਰ, ਸੰਤੋਖ, ਆਦਿਕ )ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ
As fish does not leave the water (lives in it’s sanctuary) , I shouldn't leave my qualities (patience, contentment, etc)
Intellectual Level
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ
Mind that is in constant love, passion and acceptance
