Show off (ਦਿਖਾਵਾ) – When focus is only on shows off (ਦਿਖਾਵਾ), we lose the focus on developing qualities (ਗੁਣ) to support (ਸਮਰਥਨ) the surroundings (ਆਲਾ ਦੁਆਲਾ)

ਸਿੰਮਲ ਰੁਖੁ ਸਰਾਇਰਾ ਅਤਿ ਦੀਰਘ ਅਤਿ ਮੁਚੁ ॥ ਓਇ ਜਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਆਸ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਨਿਰਾਸੇ ਕਿਤੁ ॥ਫਲ ਫਿਕੇ ਫੁਲ ਬਕਬਕੇ ਕੰਮਿ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਪਤ ॥ ਮਿਠਤੁ ਨੀਵੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਗੁਣ ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ਤਤੁ ॥ (ਸਲੋਕ ਮ : ੧ ੪੭੦)
Simal tree is straight like an arrow and very tall and thick. When birds visit the Simal tree with the hope of having some fruits, they go disappointed because fruits, flowers of this tree are tasteless, and leaves are of no use. O’Nanak, living a humble life is a real virtue and essence of goodness (Salok M:1 470)

ਅਜਿਹੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਊਣਾ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਰਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ
Its pointless to live a life where my focus is only on physical development and ignore the mental wisdom
